University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center Encourages Individuals To Get Flu Vaccine

(September 14, 2020) – As scientists and researchers continue working on clinical trials of COVID-19 vaccines, there is something even more important for individuals to receive this year – their annual flu vaccination. Although about 64 percent of Americans got a flu vaccine last season, about a third of the population remained unprotected from the flu. As many as 20 percent of people in the United States come down with the flu each year.

UM CRMC Continues to Help Fight Food Insecurity

University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center is continuing to fulfill its community health mission during the COVID-19 pandemic. The La Plata-based hospital announced that it is making a second donation, of $12,200, to help fight food insecurity in Charles County.
