Those interested in a high-energy, high-impact and highly-competitive adapted sport may find the wheelchair rugby program to be the perfect fit.
The team practices weekly in the spring/summer at Honeygo Run Regional Park in Perry Hall, MD and in the fall/winter at the Greater Loch Raven Recreation Center in Parkville, MD.
All levels of players are welcome to come learn the game and develop skills through structured practices and scrimmages.
Designed specifically for individuals with at least three limbs that are impaired, typically as a result of a spinal cord injury or amputations, the wheelchair rugby program is open to both men and women over the age of 18. Sports chairs suited for this sport are provided and there is no cost to participate.
