Telemetry
Departmental Scope of Services
Telemetry is a 30-bed nursing unit that provides care to Medical/Surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring. This unit specializes in treating cardiac diagnosis such as congestive heart failure, chest pain and stroke.
The unit also has off-site telemetry monitoring capability.
Patients Served
Our unity primarily serves patients with cardiac diagnoses including MI, AFib, pneumonia, heart failure and post-cardiac catheterization procedures such as stent placement and pacemaker insertion. The unit also serves as stroke overflow.
Our patient population consists of patients ages 17 to geriatrics. The average length of stay for patients is 2.5 days. In addition to inpatient care, the staff also monitors and cares for patients who have been placed in an observation or outpatient extended stay status.
