BMT team

Bone marrow and peripheral blood stem cell transplants are procedures used to restore cells of the body that have been destroyed by high doses of chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy. The transplant procedure allows cancer patients to receive aggressive, high-dose treatments, since the transplanted cells are able to rebuild the patient's bone marrow following treatment.

What Sets Us Apart

  • Our state-of-the-art Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) unit is dedicated solely to the care of transplant patients and their families.
  • Our transplant program is recognized as a Center of Excellence by most major health insurance and transplant networks and is accredited by FACT based on rigorous national standards in the field of cellular therapy product transplantation.
  • Our experts are actively engaged in research into new ways to treat patients with cancer, including graft engineering and immunotherapy (using the body's own immune system to fight cancer).
