The Emergency Room at UM Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata — with a highly trained and skilled team that includes emergency medicine physicians and other specialists — provides award-winning, comprehensive emergency care for all your needs.

We:

• Are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year
• Treat patients of all ages
• Are a Primary Stroke Center (as designated by the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems)

Parking is available directly behind the Emergency Department off of Wicomico Street. Once you arrive and park, enter the facility and proceed to the registration check in area.

What to Expect at the ER: Our priority is to treat each person who comes to our emergency department as fully, safely and quickly as possible. Please know, however, that patients are not seen on a first-come, first-served basis.
