The annual Research Matters conference features the results of studies that were funded by the Maryland Cigarette Restitution Fund (CRF) Program, which supports cancer-related research at the State's two academic health centers. The program is overseen by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. In addition to funding cancer research, the CRF Program promotes cancer prevention, education, screening and treatment for Maryland residents.
