Residency Program

The University of Maryland Neurosurgery Residency Program is one of the first in the country, training neurosurgeons since 1939.

This 7-year program offers a diverse operative experience and numerous opportunities for academic advancement.

The PGY-7 year is uniquely designed to allow residents to attain fellowship training, pursue research, or complete an advanced degree.

Case complexity and graded autonomy enable graduates of this program to be confident in their craft. Residents enjoy genuine camaraderie and collaboration between each other.
