Lola Bode-George, UMGCCC's Patient Navigator, helps patients and their families find the various resources, services, information, and support they need to receive the best cancer treatment.

The Patient Navigator assists in removing barriers to care, so that patients are able to keep their appointments, follow their treatment regimen, and receive the support services they need. The goal of the Patient Navigator Program is to ensure all patients' access to the comprehensive and varied cancer care services offered through UMGCCC, community and national resources.

Our Patient Navigator helps patients connect with support services such as transportation assistance, lodging during treatment, finding financial assistance resources, diagnosis and treatment information, emotional support, and locating other available services that may help patients and families deal with a cancer diagnosis. The Patient Navigator works with patients and their families throughout their treatment process into cancer survivorship.
