Jessica was nominated by the father of a patient she cared for in the Emergency Department at University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health. Jessica showed excellent communication skills by keeping the family well informed of the coordination between doctors and the facilities the patient was being sent to for long-term care.
The patients' father wrote in the nomination:
"Being the Father of the patient this allowed me to focus on Emily knowing that she was being well cared for.
I really cannot thank Jessica enough for the care given to Emily along with how positive her attitude is.
Everyone has difficult obstacles to overcome however having someone with such a great attitude assisting you ensures positive outcomes.
