Hospitalists direct and coordinate care in the hospital and serve as a liaison between the patient and the primary care physician while hospitalized. Having hospitalists on the staff at UM St. Joseph Medical Center means that physicians specializing in inpatient medicine are on site 24 hours a day. While hospitalists only treat patients while they are in the hospital, you can easily find a UM St. Joseph Medical Group (UM SJMG) primary care physician for your health needs.
Pediatric Hospitalists
Our full-time pediatric staff is board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics and works with the UM St. Joseph Medical Center Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Pediatrics After- Hours Emergency Care.
