Laboratory Services

The labs at UM Shore Regional Health offer comprehensive laboratory services, including phlebotomy, processing for other specimens, such as urine and cultures. Phlebotomists are trained to draw blood for a wide range of patients, from newborn babies to adults.

Additionally, the laboratory will draw blood (Monday through Friday) for Quest Diagnostics exclusive/preferred provider insurance plans and forward the specimens to the appropriate laboratory. If your insurance requires processing at Quest Diagnostics, 3 pm is the cut-off for blood draws.

Imaging Services

Innovative diagnostic and imaging services are offered at numerous University of Maryland Shore Regional Health locations throughout the five-county region. Imaging services at this location include:

• X-ray (walk-in during normal hours)
• CT scanning
• MRI
• PET/CT
• Digital Mammography with Tomosynthesis (3D) (Evening and Saturday appointments available for mammography)
• Bone Density
• Fluoroscopy
• Ultrasound
• US-guided biopsies and stereotactic biopsies.

General X-ray patients can walk-in during business hours. All other imaging services are by appointment only.

Please visit your secure MyPortfolio online health account through Patient Portal if you have been approved for a lab or diagnostic imaging test and your test has been scheduled. Use your login information if you already have registered or follow the instructions if you are a first-time registrant.

You can view the pre-visit preparation instructions for your test through your MyPortfolio account. Your test results will be available on your MyPortfolio account within three days.

• Monday-Friday: 6:30 am - 4 pm (If you have an order from Quest, please arrive prior to 3 pm)
• Saturday: 8 am - 12 pm

Imaging

• Monday-Thursday: 6:30 am - 5pm
• Friday: 6:30 am - 4:30 pm
• Saturday: 8 am - 12 pm
  
  • Mammograms and MRIs are by appointment only on Saturdays
  • Walk-in X-rays are available from 8 am to 12 pm

Paying Your Bill

UM Shore Regional Health accepts most forms of health insurance. For patient co-payments and deductibles, payment options include credit cards, debit cards, paper or electronic checks, or online bill pay (myportfolio.umm.edu). Effective April 1, 2024, this location is cashless.
