Pursuant to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), hospital facilities must perform a community health needs assessment every three years and adopt an implementation strategy to meet the community health needs identified. In collaboration with our community partners, University of Maryland Rehabilitation & Orthopedic Institute last conducted a comprehensive Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) in 2021 to evaluate the health needs of individuals needing acute, chronic and outpatient rehabilitation services. The Community Health Needs Assessment presents data and key factors impacting the health of disabled adults from Baltimore City and the counties of Baltimore, Howard and Anne Arundel.
