University of Maryland Shore Medical Group (UM SMG) – Primary Care has welcomed Darlene Gumbs, MD to its provider team in Easton. UM SMG is an affiliate medical practice of the University of Maryland Shore Regional Health (UM SRH), a member organization of the University of Maryland Medical System.

UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center has appointed Jeffrey Marshall, MD, MPH, as Vice President and Associate Chief Medical Officer. In this leadership role, Dr. Marshall will oversee key areas across both the hospital and ambulatory care settings, including quality, safety, infection prevention, regulatory compliance and accreditation, care management and ethics. He will also be involved in the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Group’s operations, a multi-specialty network comprised of more than 300 employed physicians and advanced practice providers.

University of Maryland Shore Regional Health’s (UM SRH) Women’s and Children’s Services Department offers several community education courses led by nursing team members. UM SRH is a member organization of the University of Maryland Medical System.

University of Maryland Shore Regional Health’s (UM SRH) Palliative Care Program recently announced the addition of nurse practitioner Megan Morrison, PhD, ARNP, FNP-BC, ACHPN, and Teresa “Terry” Rudman, LCSW-C, a licensed clinical social worker, to the team. UM SRH is a member organization of the University of Maryland Medical System. 

University of Maryland Shore Regional Health’s (UM SRH) Palliative Care Program has named Christina Ball, MS, AGACNP-BC, as the practice’s director. Ball has been a nurse practitioner with the practice since 2020. UM SRH is a member organization of the University of Maryland Medical System.

The Cancer Center at University of Maryland Shore Regional Health (UM SRH) will offer prostate screenings at no cost to eligible participants on Thursday, September 25, from 4 to 6 p.m. The screenings, which will be conducted as part of a clinical research trial, are open to males over 45 who have never had a prostate cancer screening and to males ages 55 to 69 who are due for an annual prostate cancer screening. UM SRH is a member organization of the University of Maryland Medical System.
