Pharmacy

One of University of Maryland Medical Center's four convenient outpatient pharmacy locations is located inside the Midtown Professional Building, on the Midtown Campus.  See directions and hours.

This location serves Midtown’s patients, employees and the general public. Each customer has the opportunity to discuss any concerns or questions with one of our experienced pharmacists. 

As part of the UMMC Pharmacy network, our patients also have access to the specialty pharmacy, which serves patients with complex conditions that require enhanced pharmacy monitoring or consultation. Learn more about all UMMC Pharmacy services. 

Pharmacy Services at Midtown

All our pharmacy customers receive:

• Refills by telephone by using our automated phone system or speaking to a pharmacy technician.
• Reminders by text, email and phone when your prescription is ready.
• New prescriptions filled by dropping off in person or sent as an electronic prescription by your doctor. Typically the wait it about 20 minutes.

Drug Disposal

Our DEA-registered drug take-back bins are a safe, convenient, responsible way for you to dispose of unwanted or expired medications.

For Patients Being Discharged

Patients who opt for our bedside delivery program receive the medications needed at home delivered directly to their hospital rooms before discharge. This is a free service, so you won't be charged additional fees, just your normal co-payments. 

UMMC Midtown Bedside Delivery Hours: 8:30 am- 6 pm Monday – Friday

We make every effort to deliver prescriptions during our regular hours. If that isn't possible we will send the prescription to the pharmacy of your choice.  

For Employees

UMMC Pharmacy at Midtown is especially convenient for all UMMS employees, since we accept all major insurances. Those with health insurance through UMMS will save on copayments.
