Your first appointment with our team includes a comprehensive consultation to learn about your health history, previous heart problems and family health history.
After the consultation, we will perform any needed heart tests to diagnose your problem and determine the most appropriate treatment options.

Are You at Risk for Heart Problems?
Prevent heart disease or decrease your chance of having a heart attack by paying close attention to your risk factors and learning the warning signs of a heart attack. Women should pay special attention to these warning signs since they are often more subtle in women than in men.
Risk Factors
- Family history of heart disease
- Diabetes
- High blood pressure
- High cholesterol
- Obesity
- Cigarette smoking
- Hardening of the arteries (atherosclerosis)
- Use of recreational drugs like cocaine
Warning Signs of a Heart Attack
- Chest discomfort
- Discomfort in other areas of the upper body, including shoulder pain
- Unusual shortness of breath
- Difficulty breathing
- Breaking out in a cold sweat
- Abnormal indigestion, including nausea
- Light-headedness
