Telemedicine for Addiction Medicine

The Center for Addiction Medicine (CAM) offers a full range of individualized programs to empower our patients in the fight against chemical and alcohol dependency. We facilitate quick intake, flexible appointments and rapid stabilization.

  • Detoxification - outpatient and inpatient

Addiction Services

We provide individuals affected by substance use disorders with confidential, comprehensive therapy and treatment programs.

Detoxification

Detoxification from heroin, alcohol, OxyContin and benzodiazepines should always be done under medical supervision. Nausea, anxiety, seizure, hallucinations and high blood pressure can result from withdrawal. We use medications with daily medical monitoring to lessen or control these symptoms.

Medication-Assisted Treatment

For opioid addiction, our medication-assisted treatment uses maintenance programs of methadone or buprenorphine, and we use naltrexone (Vivitrol) to assist in the treatment by acting as a blocker. We also offer monthly injections of naltrexone to help reduce craving in alcohol use disorder.

Outpatient Counseling

Our addiction counselors provide individual and group counseling, crisis counseling, 12-step methadone anonymous group, HIV/AIDS group, gender-specific groups and educational group.

Referrals and Appointments

We accept referrals from Parole and Probation, Department of Social Services, Child Protective Services, employee assistance programs (EAP), and others.
