About Me

Dr. Macatangay specializes in caring for children with blood cancers. Currently, she collaborates with a team of specialists to evaluate children and adolescents with hematology and genetic concerns. Dr. Macatangay is also active in clinical research that focuses on sickle cell anemia and inherited disorders of the blood. 

“I enjoy working closely with my colleagues across disciplines to provide holistic, family-centered care to children and young adults, making sure they receive the care they need and deserve.”

Dr. Macatangay is familiar with the University of Maryland Medical System, having completed her pediatric residency at UMMC. She also serves as the co-director of the pediatric clerkship at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Her dedication and passion for the profession and patients have earned her top rankings on Baltimore magazine’s Top Doctors list.
