About Me

A consultation-liaison psychiatrist, Dr. Ehrenreich has special interests in helping patients dealing with depression and anxiety and providing care to other health professionals. His treatment methods include both medications and psychotherapy when indicated. He approaches every patient as an individual and tailors his approach to their biological, psychological and social needs.

Dr. Ehrenreich has extensive experience treating adults with co-occurring psychiatric and medical conditions. He has worked with patients undergoing solid-organ and stem cell transplantations as well as patients dealing with heart disease, cancer, diabetes and many other medical conditions. He provides useful consultation to physicians in other specialties looking for help in managing their patients.

Dr. Ehrenreich has received many honors and awards, including the Distinguished Life Fellow honor from the American Psychiatric Association and distinction as a fellow of the Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. He has been elected to many leadership positions in organized psychiatry, including the roles of president and council chair of the Maryland Psychiatric Society.

Dr. Ehrenreich is chief of education for the Department of Psychiatry and residency training director for the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt Psychiatry Program. He has been actively involved in the education of medical students, residents and fellows for more than 30 years.
