GME Mission Statement
The University of Maryland Capital Region Health Graduate Medical Education Department oversees training programs that train medical students, residents, and fellows who provide compassionate, high-quality care, commit to the community, and are integral to healthcare transformation and discovery-based medicine. The aim is to recruit, train, and retain future healthcare leaders to become ethical professionals for the next generations of patients and the community.
