Laura Barbour, D.O.
Medical School: Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine
I was born in Frederick, MD and grew up on a horse farm in Washington County, MD. I attended McDaniel College, majoring in Neuroscience, and I worked as a Veterinary Technician through college and beyond. I then moved to Blacksburg, VA to attend the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine(VCOM). During medical school, I was able to travel to Tegucigalpa, Honduras and San Salvador, El Salvador for medical mission trips, which is where I discovered my love for pediatrics. I am happy to be back in Maryland, and hope to find a career in primary care pediatrics!
In my spare time, I am an active horse rider, and currently have an Arabian/Quarter Horse mare that I am training. I ride in the English style and have competed internationally in Equestrian Mounted Games in Australia, France, New Zealand, and Wales. When not riding horses, I also enjoy hiking, reading and skiing!
