Medical School: Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University

I am a preliminary pediatrics resident who will spend two years training at the University of Maryland, followed by four more years at Johns Hopkins and the Kennedy Krieger Institute across town. When it is all done, I’ll be boarded in pediatrics, child neurology, and neurodevelopmental disabilities. I graduated medical school from Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. Before that, I earned my master’s degree in biomedical engineering from Mercer University. My home is a small town called Dahlonega, tucked into the mountains of North Georgia with a surprisingly rich history. (Ask me about the Appalachian Trail, the first US Gold Rush, how the Trail of Tears started, or where to spot US Rangers in training). I love outdoor adventures, bargain hunts, ballroom dancing, fixing things, and learning local history. I’ve got two pets: a shih tzu named Cooper and a sheep named Liesel (she lives in GA with my parents). One of my hobbies is spinning Liesel’s wool into yarn and making cloth by weaving, knitting or crocheting. I’m married to a professional piano technician named Jonathan, so we corner the market on obscure historic skill sets. We are excited to learn all about Baltimore and the surrounding areas!
