Medical School: Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine

I was born in Toronto, raised in Montreal where I developed a fondness for baguettes, poutine, and the Habs, and moved to DC when I was 15. I attended Barnard College in NYC where I majored in political science and minored in biology. Raised by influential environmentalist parents, I was torn between pursuing environmental conservation and a career in medicine. I quickly saw the light after numerous internships in sustainable development, a gap year bartending and waitressing, and my first clinical experience volunteering at a hospital in the Peruvian highlands.

Because 4 years of undergrad just wasn't enough, I returned to complete a post-baccalaureate program at Georgetown University and worked for a year as a medical assistant for a surgeon whom I had met on a mission trip to Haiti. Continuing my adventure down the east coast, I attended medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond where I discovered my love for pediatrics. After sensing the incredible warmth and good vibes from the residents, administration, and faculty at University of Maryland, I am thrilled to be here, to get to know my talented co-interns, and explore Charm City!  I am currently leaning towards a career in primary care and getting involved in public health and advocacy for undeserved populations.

In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, skiing, cooking/ eating food, live music, playing tennis and badminton, travel, yoga, reading, Stanley Kubrick movies, and teaching my cats how to stop worrying, and learn to love the harness.
