Kerri Best, M.D.
Medical School: Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine
I was born in Lynchburg, Virginia, where I lived in my early childhood. My family then moved to Warrenton, North Carolina for 4 years, before finally moving when I was 10 years old and residing in Prince George’s County, Maryland. I stayed in Maryland and went to Johns Hopkins for undergrad, which led to me wanting to branch out of Maryland for medical school, taking me to Chicago. I am now very happy to be back in my home state for residency and to serve my community as I have a huge passion for working with the underserved.
I feel like I really connected to the people at University of Maryland when interviewing here and was excited to have matched here. Now that I am here, I see how awesome all of my co-residents are so I know that I truly made the perfect choice and there couldn’t have been a better fit for me in a pediatric residency program.
Some of my hobbies include traveling, dancing, trying new foods (especially anything chocolate, as I am a chocolate fanatic!), doing karaoke, and watching tons of game shows like Price is Right and Lets Make a Deal. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
I am very excited and looking forward to seeing what the next 3 years of my pediatric residency will bring.
