Why did you chose Maryland? The training at Maryland sets you up to be a great surgeon. I saw the interns getting early operative experience while on my sub-I, and this clearly showed as the chiefs were extremely competent both in and out of the OR. The co-residents and mentors at Maryland are my second family and have made residency a wonderful experience!
Hobbies/Interests Outside Work: Road cycling, editing our annual senior roast video, hiking the beautiful trails outside of Baltimore, and trying new restaurants with my fiance and friends
Favorite place you’ve traveled during residency: I regularly drive down to the mountains in NC any chance I get!
Advice to Applicants: Just be yourself. Enjoy the process. Everything will work out in the end!
