Hayley Malkin, M.D.

Medical School: University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine

I grew up in Chapel Hill NC and earned my undergraduate degree at Wellesley College. Prior to medical school, I worked in clinical research at Dana-Farber and Boston Children's Cancer Center as a part of a multi-disciplinary group caring for young people with brain tumors- this experience shaped my understanding of the importance and power of relationships between providers and families dealing with unique medical challenges. I returned to Chapel Hill in for medical school at the University of North Carolina, where I am also completed a Masters in Public Health. I am so excited to join the University of Maryland Pediatrics team, and care for children and their families in Baltimore. By completing dual training in medicine and pediatrics, I hope to one day care for youth with childhood onset chronic conditions throughout the lifetime. I am also passionate about community health, healthcare reform, and cold brew coffee. Outside of the hospital, I am an avid bruncher, ambitious home cook, and amateur runner. I root for the Carolina Tar Heels and can also be found spending time with family and friends- looking forward to building new connections with you here in Baltimore!
