Clare grew up in Ohio, California, Papua New Guinea, and Pennsylvania, but calls south central PA home. She is the oldest of four siblings, and her Dad is also a Med-Peds physician who inspired her to pursue her career. Clare went to Juniata College for undergrad and then took a year off and volunteered with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, working at a homeless shelter in Philadelphia. She attended Drexel University for medical school, where she met her now husband Andrew. Clare and Andrew, now an Orthopedics resident in Baltimore, couples matched to Baltimore. After residency Clare is interested in pursuing a career in primary care and also in global health. She spent a month in southwest Uganda during her PGY-2 year and plans to return during her PGY-4 year. Outside of hospital Clare loves spending time with her family and her Med-Peds classmates, thrift store shopping, seeing Baltimore plays and symphony performances, trying new Baltimore restaurants, learning to play the violin, and squeezing in travel whenever possible.
