Casey and her husband, Joel, moved to Baltimore from their home in the Deep South for Casey to start her MedPeds residency at UMMC and for Joel to start a PhD program in political science at UMD College Park. They've put down roots in Charm City and plan on staying awhile! (Their first child, Ezekiel "Zeke" Mabry, was born at UMMC at the end of Casey's intern year). Casey, Joel, and Zeke love exploring the city's many restaurants, pubs, breweries, and wineries in their free time. Casey's favorite part of residency is the people she works with (coresidents, students, nurses, and administrative staff)- they've truly become like family! Casey loves teaching and is excited to take on a new leadership role of chief resident in 2019.
