Carlo was born in Lima, Peru and moved to rainy Seattle, WA at the age of 10. He went to undergrad at the University of Washington and majored in Biochemistry. Carlo moved to sunny Philadelphia for medical school, and he received his master’s degree in Urban Bioethics while he was at Temple. While in medical school Carlo traveled abroad on many global health trips to countries including Panama, Guatemala, and (of course) Peru. He plans to pursue a career in global health after residency. In my time off, Carlo enjoys hiking, experimenting with Peruvian and vegan cooking, brushing up on his photography skills, and gardening.
