Alissa grew up in New Jersey before moving to Delaware for high school. She became a Blue Hen at the University of Delaware where she studied biology and political science. For medical school, she moved to Philly to attend Jefferson and was amongst the first class to graduate from the re-named Sidney Kimmel School of Medicine. Alissa matched at Maryland, where she became involved in the development of a transitional care curriculum, as well as Infectious Disease research. She is planning on pursuing a fellowship in Infectious Disease with particular interests in HIV and Cancer ID. In her free time, she enjoys running, baking, and exploring Baltimore with her fiance and co-residents!
