MedHub Faculty Access
This page was designed to help you navigate your faculty access in MedHub. A sample of the faculty home page can be found here.
Below are the different Faculty access levels in MedHub and a description of the privileges associated with each profile:
Program Directors
In addition to the Faculty access (see below) in MedHub, Program Directors can view a Trainee's demographic profile. Included in that is the Trainee’s contact information, education, certifications, awards, test scores, compliance, training history, and any Resident Dashboard reports that have been generated.
The Program Director has access to faculty, service and program evaluations within the program. Note: Program Director access does not provide access to evaluations of residents. You must have mentor access to view evaluations completed about your Trainees. If you are not a Mentor, please contact your Program Administrator.
Program Directors are able to:
- View Trainee performance evaluation results
- Access aggregate and peer evaluation reports
- Receive low score alerts on Trainee evaluations and view the low score received. This must be set up by the Program Administrator.
- View program procedure requirements
- View mentee procedure logs
- Certify procedures for Trainees if the "Certify Residents for Procedures" program setting is enabled.
- Approve Trainees as certified to perform procedures
- View mentee conference attendance information
- View mentee duty hour activity
- View mentee Portfolios
- View mentee Demographics (available demographics fields are determined by GME)
Program Directors have the ability to manage additional administrative tasks:
- Upload rotation specific curricula goals and objectives
- Upload resource/documents files
- Add individual items to Faculty/Trainee calendars
- View Faculty/program/service evaluations
- View Faculty & Trainee ranking
- Review program accreditation information
Associate Program Directors
In addition to the Faculty access (see below) in MedHub, Associate Program Directors have access to service and program evaluations within the program.
They have the ability to manage additional administrative tasks:
- Upload rotation specific curricula goals and objectives
- Upload resource/documents files
- View program/service evaluations
- Review program accreditation information
Faculty
Faculty users can complete the following tasks:
- Complete evaluations of Trainees
- Verify Trainee procedures
- Manage Trainee mentees
Faculty members can also view:
- Schedules (Master rotation, shift/call, conference, etc.)
- Conferences
- Resources/documents
- Directories (Resident/Faculty)
- Messaging/communications
- Calendars
- Announcements
- Alerts
Faculty members who have mentor access are able to manage and/or review the following information for their own mentees:
- Access to incomplete evaluations for their Trainee mentees
- View Trainee performance evaluation results
- Access aggregate and peer evaluation reports
- Receive low score alerts on Trainee evaluations and view the low score received
- View program procedure requirements
- View mentee procedure logs
- Certify procedures for Trainees if the "Certify Residents for Procedures" program setting is enabled.

**Mentor access is given by the Program Administrator
Program Administrators
Please note: Administrative access is not given to faculty in order to protect trainee confidentiality.
Program Administrators are generally the Program Coordinators. The Program Administrator is responsible for the following MedHub activities:
- Setting and maintaining program specific settings
- Setting up other administrative users within your program/department
- Entering and maintaining certain Trainee and Faculty demographics
- Creating and maintaining block rotation and call schedules
- Approving Trainee vacations, Leaves of Absence (LOA), and away conferences
- Building and delivering Trainee evaluations
- Creating conference schedules and recording conference attendance
- Setting and maintaining attributes for procedures (where applicable)
- Promoting and terminating Trainees
- Running work hours reports to verify compliance prior to work hour lockout
- Communication
