Thirty University of Maryland Medical System Nurses Recognized as "Excellence in Nursing" Winners by Baltimore Magazine

Thirty nurses from University of Maryland Medical System-affiliated hospitals have been named as "Excellence in Nursing" winners by Baltimore Magazine. The nurses represent both the Midtown and Downtown campuses of the University of Maryland Medical Center, the System's flagship academic hospital, as well as the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center (located at UMMC), University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health (the System's hospitals in Harford County), and the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson (Baltimore County). Two nurses from Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital are also recognized; UMMS co-owns MWPH with Johns Hopkins Medicine. 

"The compassion and excellence displayed by nurses who are on the frontlines with thousands of patients across our System is an integral part of the patient's quality care," said Mohan Suntha, MD, MBA, President and Chief Executive Officer of UMMS. "We are proud of the nurses who are deservedly being recognized by Baltimore magazine."
