The University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) Foundation offers many ways for employees and their families to participate in various activities to support hospital programs as well as the patients we serve. You can contribute directly to the UMMS Foundation by making a gift or you can choose to participate in/volunteer for one of the fundraising events throughout the year.

umgccc half marathonSince 2009, the Maryland Half Marathon & 5K has been raising funds to directly support the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center (UMGCCC). The annual Maryland Half Marathon & 5K, UMGCCC’s largest fundraising event, attracts 2,000+ runners from around Maryland, Washington D.C. and neighboring communities in Virginia, Pennsylvania and Delaware. Thanks to the strong support of runners and sponsors, the Maryland Half Marathon & 5K has raised more than $3,000,000 for UMGCCC. Please consider joining us in the fight against cancer by registering for a race, making a personal donation or volunteering on race day.
