The Maryland Psychological Assessment and Consultation Center (MPACC) offers comprehensive evaluations to children and teens ages 14 months to 18 years addressing concerns regarding developmental, intellectual, behavioral, social and emotional functioning.

The first step is to make a consultation appointment. At this meeting families will tell us their primary areas of concern and give a thorough background history. If we determine that a psychological evaluation is needed, a testing appointment will be scheduled.

Services

Following a comprehensive evaluation, members of the treatment team meet with the family to discuss the child’s strengths, areas of need and recommended next steps. Families receive a psychological report that includes recommendations and guidance for both home and school environments, as well as treatment planning support.

MPACC offers evaluations to assess a range of developmental and psychological concerns, including:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Developmental delays
  • Intellectual disability
  • Executive functioning (e.g., planning, organizing)
  • Attention, hyperactivity, impulsivity
  • Diagnostic clarification regarding social, emotional or behavioral challenges

Our clinicians are trained in administering a number of assessments and measures designed to assess cognitive functioning in young children and teens.
