Research and Clinical Trials

Neuroscience Research and Clinical Trials | Peter Crino, MD, PhD, in his lab

Clinical trials are studies designed to find new and better ways to treat patients with neurological disorders.

Through clinical trials, scientists and physicians at the University of Maryland Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery have broken new ground in the development of drugs and treatments.

Research is a very important part of our mission; this is evidenced by the fact that the Department of Neurology is one of the top 10 programs in the country in research funding for a variety of neurologic diseases.
