The annual Within Our Reach Symposium hosted by the University of Maryland Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Center, originally scheduled for Friday, April 17, 2020, is rescheduled for Friday, October 2, 2020.

The decision to reschedule was made as a result of the current Maryland State of Emergency due to the public health concerns about the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Our mission and top priority is to ensure the safety and health of our patients and their care partners.

Tickets purchased for the April event will be valid in October or can be applied to the 2021 symposium. No refunds are available at this time.

Within Our Reach is our unique patient educational program that recognizes the importance of engaging patients, caregivers and family members in an active process to learn the new skills necessary to manage their chronic medical condition.

When: Friday, October 2, 2020; 8:30am - 3pm
Where: BWI Airport Hilton
Keynote Speaker: We are proud to announce this year's keynote speaker will be delivered by a person living with Parkinson's disease, Susan Scarlett. Susan did a film documentary titled "Victory Swim" which features her nephew's Guinness World Record swim for PD. She will use clips from her film to talk about her journey with PD.
