For Healthcare Professionals - Neurosciences | Two residents sit on a bench

The University of Maryland Medical Center offers residents the opportunity to learn from the most qualified neurological physicians.

As a leading East Coast stroke care provider, we train residents in the genetics of strokes as well as epilepsy, Alzheimer’s and ALS research.

We are also a leader in neuropathic pain studies and developing approaches to ease pain.

With the recent expansion of our off-campus sites, our program stresses the importance of an increased community presence. A UMMC residency thoroughly prepares future physicians for careers in the academic field, private practice, or both.
