Vice President of Marketing and Communications
As the Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the University of Maryland Medical Center’s Downtown and Midtown campuses, Kellie is responsible for executive communications, crisis and internal communications, consumer and physician marketing and brand and reputation management.
Prior to joining the University of Maryland Medical Center, Kellie served as Senior Director of Marketing, Communications and Community Health at the UM St. Joseph Medical Center (UM SJMC) where she was instrumental in the transition of UM SJMC to the University of Maryland Medical System.
A graduate of the Henry W. Grady College of Journalism at the University of Georgia and on her way to earning a Master’s of Science in Strategic Communications from Purdue University, Kellie has more than 20 years of healthcare marketing experience. Kellie credits her time working at a local advertising agency as an important step in helping to cultivate and shape her communications and advertising expertise.
Working with a wide variety of clients and industries, Kellie was continually drawn back to the healthcare field where her career first began in a small hospital in Macon, Ga. Acting always as an advocate for patients and employees, Kellie takes great pride in helping to positively impact patient experience and employee engagement.
In 2019, Kellie graduated from the Leadership Baltimore County program and serves as a volunteer for the Harford County Humane Society.
