The Endocrine Oncology team treats cancers that originate in glands such as the thyroid, parathyroid and pancreas.

Endocrine malignancies are relatively rare. The large majority of endocrine conditions that require treatment are non-cancerous. In cases in which endocrine tumors are cancerous, surgery is usually part of a patient's treatment plan.

At UMGCCC, surgical oncologists work closely with medical oncologists, endocrinologists, otolaryngologists, nuclear radiologists and radiation oncologists to deliver patients true multidisciplinary care.
