Letter from the Program Director - Medical Oncology-Hematology Fellowship
Thank you for your interest in the University of Maryland Hematology/Oncology fellowship program. This website will provide you with information about our educational philosophy, the curriculum and structure of our program, as well as the application process.
Annually, we offer five three-year fellowship positions for training in both hematology and medical oncology. Our fellows receive a robust clinical education throughout their three years of training via extensive clinical exposure, a comprehensive didactic curriculum, and one-on-one faculty:fellow mentoring. Fellows care for patients at both the University of Maryland Medical Center and the Baltimore VA Medical Center, with both facilities located on the campus of the University of Maryland Baltimore. In addition, fellows actively engage in clinical or basic science research through the University of Maryland Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center.
We are excited about the spectacular advances taking place in the fields of hematology and medical oncology and are looking for prospective fellows who share that enthusiasm. We are committed to providing outstanding clinical training and research opportunities for our fellows in order to ensure that our trainees graduate as clinically competent and academically curious hematologists and oncologists. I invite you to tour our fellowship website and submit an application to the University of Maryland. I look forward to meeting with you about how we can best further your academic and career goals.
