Transforming Health Care in Harford County
University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health is transforming health care in our region. Slated to fully open in February 2024, the UM Upper Chesapeake – Aberdeen Campus will improve health care by increasing access to services, coordination efforts between hospital-based and community care providers and continuing to develop new models of care delivery supported by state-of-the-art technology. The Aberdeen campus will feature a modern freestanding medical facility with emergency and inpatient services and a variety of community specialty care. Meanwhile, in Bel Air, a newly constructed surgery center, an expansion of the emergency department waiting area, and added floors.
