Regular mammograms and testing procedures like ultrasounds are part of keeping your breasts healthy.

Changes in breast tissue can sometimes signal health issues such as hormonal imbalances or infections. It’s important to talk to your doctor about any unusual changes in your breasts and when you should begin having annual mammograms.

3-D Mammograms produce multiple images of the breast tissue that, when combined with traditional 2-D technology, can help radiologists identify breast abnormalities and improve cancer detection rates. It is appropriate for all screening and diagnostic mammography patients and can be especially helpful for women with very dense breasts or a personal or family history of breast cancer.

Diagnostic mammograms are an X-ray of the breast used to diagnose unusual breast changes, such as a lump, pain, nipple discharge or a change in breast size or shape. It may also be used to evaluate changes found during a screening mammogram.

Breast Ultrasound uses sound waves to image the breast and see whether a breast lump is filled with fluid or is a solid lump. It does not replace the need for a mammogram but is often used alongside a mammogram to evaluate a problem in the breast.

Breast MRI is a non-invasive MRI that uses a powerful magnetic field, radio frequency pulses and a computer to produce detailed pictures of the breast. Breast MRIs offer valuable information about many breast conditions that cannot be obtained by other imaging tests such as mammography or ultrasound.

We are a comprehensive breast center meaning that all screening, follow-up treatment and diagnostic services can be done here, in one convenient location. This includes breast biopsies and treatment for breast conditions.
