Steve Witman, CPA, MBA
Steve is currently Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake. Joining UM Upper Chesapeake Health in 2018, Steve provides leadership and is responsible for the direction and administration of financial operations. Steve has over 35 years of health system strategic planning and executive leadership experience. Steve most recently held the position of Vice President of Financial and Capital Planning and Business Development at LifeBridge Health. In his role at LifeBridge, Steve was a member of the executive leadership team and had system-wide financial planning and business development responsibilities over the integrated health system.
Prior to his role with LifeBridge Health, Steve was a Director at KMPG where he served as a member of the national health care advisory team. In his role, he supported many healthcare clients across the state, including the University of Maryland Medical System and UM UCH.
Steve earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance (double major) from Virginia Tech and his Master of Business Administration degree from Loyola University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
