UM St. Joseph Medical Center has earned a Level IIIB designation by the state of Maryland, allowing us to treat high-risk obstetric patients and newborns.
In the Mrs. Alonzo G. Decker Jr. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), we help infants needing specialized care, such as premature birth, respiratory disease and other conditions.
NICU babies are closely cared for by a skilled team of board-certified neonatologists, neonatal nurses and nurse practitioners who work with the latest technology.
We also offer physical and occupational therapy services to foster development in NICU patients.

Grandparents/support persons may visit between 10:00am and 10:00pm daily.
Sibling visitation is allowed for children 5 years of age and older, except during the cold & flu season (October - March) no children under the age of 18 may visit.
