Mahmood Alikhan, MD, MPH , is board-certified in cardiology, nuclear cardiology, internal medicine and sleep medicine. Certified as a cardiac device specialist by the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners, he received his medical degree from Dow Medical College and cardiology training at University of Vermont College of Medicine.
Sonia Baker, MD, board-certified in cardiology and nuclear cardiology with a special interest in heart failure and echocardiography, received her medical degree from Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University and did her residency and cardiology fellowship at University of Maryland.
Anoop Patel, MD, board-certified internist and board-eligible cardiologist, received his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine. He served as chief cardiology fellow at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
Daniel Plotnick, MD, board-certified in internal medicine, received his medical degree and completed his residency and fellowship at University of Maryland.
Jeremy S. Pollock, MD, is a board-certified internist and board-certified cardiologist. He received his medical degree from the University of Maryland and completed his internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt University. He is also board-certified in echocardiography and nuclear medicine.
Stephen Pollock, MD, board-certified cardiologist, received his medical degree and completed his internship, residency and fellowship at University of Maryland. He served as the chief of Cardiology at UM St. Joseph.
Brett Roberts, MD, is board-certified in cardiac electrophysiology and completed fellowships in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at University of Michigan Health System and in general cardiology at University of Maryland.
Ronald Schechter, MD, board-certified in cardiology and internal medicine practices all aspects of both interventional and noninterventional cardiology. He received his medical degree and did his fellowship at University of Maryland.
Henry Sun, MD, is board-certified in interventional cardiology interventional cardiology, He received his medical degree at University of Texas Medical Branch and did his medical internship, residency training, and cardiology fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Shannon J. Winakur, MD, FACC, is a board-certified cardiologist. She received her medical degree from the University of Maryland Medical School, did her internal medicine residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and completed her cardiology fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Syed Shumile Zaidi, MD, is the head of UM SJMC’s structural heart program. He is board-certified in intervention cardiology with a specialty in structural heart disease. He received his medical degree at Sindh Medical College, University of Karachi and completed an interventional and structural cardiology fellowship at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, a cardiology fellowship at Georgia Regents University and an internal medicine residency at University of Tennessee.
