Thank you for your interest in the 2019 issue of Inside Looking Out.
At UM St. Joseph Medical Center's Cancer Institute, we are committed to sharing stories that enlighten and inspire—giving our readers information that helps them more fully understand issues related to cancer diagnosis, treatment and survivorship. Check the links below to learn more about the topics discussed in the print version of Inside Looking Out.
Cancer Survivorship Week
The first week in June marks a Cancer Institute celebration that is joyous and life affirming: Cancer Survivorship Week! View the display poster that will "greet" our patients and their families from June 3-7, 2019, and lets them know that we have a week's worth of appreciation planned in their honor.
"Our patients inspire us," says UM SJMC Cancer Institute Operations Director Monica Fulton, RN, BSN, MBA. "They keep up their courage, they keep up their spirits, they persevere…They are amazing."
The Healing Power of Art
Breast cancer survivor Claudia Tordini used her art to help her heal…and, today, it sustains her in her recovery. See how she and a collective of strong, like-minded women are creating art that empowers.
Learn more about Claudia's cancer journey and how it inspired her art in this recent Baltimore Style story.
