Body Composition Analysis

To identify your unique body make-up and associated health risks. A Bioelectric Impedance Analysis (BIA) will determine weight, body fat, BMI, total body water, muscle mass, metabolic rate and more.

Bone Density Screening

Suitable for adults who want to know how their lifestyle is impacting their bone density and for those with certain risk factors (family history, small body frame, inactivity, smoking, excessive caffeine or alcohol consumption, low calcium and vitamin D intake). Consists of quick, painless ultrasound test of the heel bone (not diagnostic). For those who have not had a Dexascan or ultrasound bone test in the past year.

Breast Cancer Screening

For women 40 years and older who have not had a mammogram within the past year and do not have breast cancer. Screening includes clinical breast exam, screening mammogram and risk assessment.

Cervical Cancer Screening

For women 21-65 who do not have a history of cervical cancer and have not had a Pap test within the past year. Screening includes pelvic exam, Pap test and education.

Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) Screening

If you experience leg discomfort when you walk that goes away when you rest, you may have peripheral arterial disease (PAD).  Early detection of this disease of the arteries in the legs is important. The diagnosis of PAD is made by comparing the blood pressure in your ankles to the blood pressure in your arms. This is a painless procedure utilizing a blood pressure cuff and an ultrasound Doppler. This screening is for anyone over 50 years of age with a history of smoking, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart attack or stroke.

Prostate Cancer Screening

For men 50-70 years of age. African American men and men with a first-degree relative (father, brother) diagnosed before age 65 should consider screening starting at age 40. Consists of detailed testing that can detect prostate cancer at an early and potentially curable stage.

Skin Cancer Screening

For detection of melanoma and other serious skin cancers. Screening includes full body visual examination.

Stroke and Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening

Clogging of the carotid arteries in the neck can reduce blood flow to the brain and result in a stroke. Abdominal aortic aneurysms often have no symptoms until rupture, which can be fatal. A painless ultrasound can be used to detect both of these conditions.

A combined screening for anyone 65 years and older with at least one of the following:

  • High blood cholesterol
  • High blood pressure
  • Tobacco use
  • Personal or family history of stroke, aneurysm or heart disease

*Requires fasting for four hours before screening.
