Certificate of Need Filed for New Hospital in Easton

University of Maryland Shore Regional Health (UM SRH) filed a Certificate of Need application this month for the hospital that will replace and relocate Shore Medical Center at Easton. The application was filed with the Maryland Health Care Commission on September 7 and is being reviewed for completeness before being docketed for formal review.  

DGH Foundation Supports Surgical Services, Patient Care in Dorchester

The Dorchester General Hospital Foundation has long been a force for good in the ongoing enhancement of medical care for Dorchester County residents, and 2018 is no exception. Under the continued guidance of Ida Jane Baker, president, the Foundation Board has dedicated $131,000 to support equipment purchases and professional development for nursing staff at UM Shore Medical Center at Dorchester.

UM Shore Regional Health Golf Tournament Set for September 17

University of Maryland Memorial Hospital Foundation has announced its 2018 Golf Tournament, scheduled for Monday, September 17, at the Talbot Country Club in Easton. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton.

Claws for a Cause Nets $36,463 to Benefit UM Shore Emergency Center at Queenstown

The Claws for a Cause crab feast, held at the Fisherman’s Crab Deck in Grasonville on July 12, net $36,463 to benefit the University of Maryland Shore Emergency Center at Queenstown. The proceeds will go towards purchasing two ceiling mounted patient safety lifts to help transfer patients who need assistance within the emergency center.
