Shore Regional Health Welcomes a New Occupational Therapist

For Immediate Release March 04, 2016

University of Maryland Shore Regional Health’s Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services recently welcomed occupational therapist Erica Bowers to the outpatient rehab team. Bowers is introducing occupational therapy as a new outpatient service at UM Shore Rehab at Queenstown; she also is providing OT as a renewed service at UM Shore Rehab in Denton, located at 920 North Market Street.

“We are excited to have Erica join our team. Offering OT in Caroline County and Queen Anne’s County will expand convenient and accessible rehab care for patients in those regions,” says Frank Rath, manager of outpatient rehabilitation services for UM SRH.

Bowers has OT experience with both pediatric and geriatric patients. Most recently, she worked for Mid-Shore Special Education Consortium providing occupational therapy to children with learning disabilities in local public schools. Previously, she was employed at The Pines Genesis in Easton providing inpatient occupational therapy for the facility’s largely senior population.

“I look forward to expanding my skill set and getting more experience working in outpatient settings. I hope to refine my skills working with patients and being part of Shore Regional Health’s outpatient rehabilitation team,” Bowers said.

UM Shore Regional Health offers diverse outpatient rehabilitation services in Cambridge, Denton, Easton and Queenstown. For more information, contact Frank Rath, 410-822-1000, ext. 7641 or visit http://umshoreregional.org/programs/rehab.
