Executive Director, UM Shore Medical Center at Dorchester

Penny Aaron Pink, MSN, RN, CNOR, NEA-BC, joined UM Shore Regional Health in June 1984 as an ICU staff nurse with then-Dorchester General Hospital. Pink is an innovative, patient-oriented professional with a diverse background in inpatient and outpatient services. She is a proven leader with an extensive background in nursing management and clinical operations. She brings expertise in strategic, operational, fiscal and programmatic planning to support the mission and vision of UM Shore Medical Center at Dorchester.

In her more than 35 years with UM Shore Regional Health, Pink has devoted much of that time to the UM Shore Medical Center at Dorchester in a number of capacities, including nursing staff and Surgical Services management. In addition to her role as executive director of UM Shore Medical Center at Dorchester, Pink serves UM Shore Regional Health as the director of Surgical and Ambulatory Services. In her as executive director of UM SMC at Dorchester, Pink manages the day-to-day operations of the hospital and serves as the primary liaison to ensure its optimal participation in local, regional and system health care services, programs and activities.

Pink completed her BSN, MSN and FNP at Salisbury University. She also completed a post-graduate certificate program in advanced nursing administration in 2005. She is certified as a National Perioperative Nurse. She was recognized as the 2009 Director of the Year at Shore Health System, the 2003 Manager of the Year at Shore Health System and the 1990 Nurse of the Year at then-Dorchester General Hospital. She is a member of the Association of Perioperative Nurses, Delaware Chapter.
