Executive Director, UM Shore Medical Center at Dorchester and UM Shore Regional Health Oncology Services

Brian Leutner has served UM Shore Regional Health in various capacities since 2000, beginning his career as a radiation therapist and subsequently as clinical manager and then director of Radiation Oncology Services. He assumed the role of director of Oncology Services 2006.  He was promoted to the executive director position in 2016, and in this capacity he is responsible for the operation of the Diagnostic and Imaging Center and the Clark Comprehensive Breast Center, as well as the Cancer Center, which includes, radiation oncology at Requard Radiation Oncology Center and outpatient chemotherapy at the Lenny Satchell Chemotherapy Suite. Leutner also manages the day-to-day operations at UM Shore Medical Center at Dorchester, which he serves as primary liaison and collaborator to ensure its optimal participation in local, regional and system health care services, programs and activities. 

Prior to joining UM Shore Regional Health, Leutner spent five years in the US Army as a nuclear, biological and chemical operations specialist. 

Leutner earned his MBA from Wilmington University and is a 2009 graduate of Shore Leadership. A member of the Association of Community Cancer Centers, the American College of Health Care Executives, the Association of Cancer Executives, the American Society of Radiological Technologists and the Talbot County Cancer Coalition, which he currently serves as president.
